Real Work, Not Fake Work

Worked on rebranding my blog in English and Chinese separately, and restructuring the domain accordingly.

Two articles I published on WeChat last week — one about AI agents and another about personal growth(existentialism philosophy) — attracted a lot of attention. That feels like a promising direction to explore more deeply.

Also notice that how easy I am to be pulled away by a stream of random thoughts, each leading toward some trivial, irrelevant, or unimportant task. My energy was exhausted, yet nothing significant was accomplished. If this continues, I will never make real progress.

There is always plenty of work and an endless supply of ideas. Only a few are real and meaningful; the rest are fake — hopelessly fake. Without discipline, it is easy to drift into fake work without noticing. Someone with that habit will never succeed, no matter how talented or hardworking they are.

For me, the next step is clear: finish investigating my side-project ideas, choose the most promising one, and start building it quickly.

That is the real work.
